The SIA exists to manage the licensing of the private security industry as set out in the Private Security Industry Act 2001. The SIA also aim to raise standards of professionalism and skills within the private security industry and to promote and spread best practice.

Security Industry Authority Approved Contractor Scheme

The ACS standard encompasses all aspects of a security provider’s operation. It takes a holistic view of how well an organisation is managed and an approved organisation must demonstrate to an independent assessor, on an annual basis, that it has met the defined standards
