Originally founded in 1818, Chubb has become a household name, synonymous with Security and Fire Safety, and was acquired by UTC in 2003.

In April 2005, UTC created the UTC Fire & Security division, consisting of Chubb and Kidde businesses.

In 1975 United Aircraft Corporation changed its name to United Technologies Corporation.

Chubb is part of UTC Fire & Security, which is a division of United Technologies Corporation (UTC). UTC is a global technology corporation with a long history of pioneering innovation in aerospace, aviation, helicopter design, climate control, elevator design and hydrogen fuel cells.
