Typical Applications - Entry Level Integrated Security Management (ISM)

An integrated intruder and access control system is a cost effective security solution, which can cover a stand-alone site or multiple sites across a network.

An entry level integrated security management system is ideal for sites which are occupied during the day, requiring control of access for employees and visitors, and requiring intruder protection while they are unoccupied at night and at weekends.

An entry level integrated security management system would be specified for stand-alone or multiple sites requiring intruder protection and access control, to protect employees and property while restricting and controlling access to protected areas. Such a solution could be applied to a legal practice, an IT repair or service company or an estate agent.

What products would be used?

A typical entry level integrated security management system would comprise of a control panel linked to a number of intruder protection devices, such as movement detectors and break-glass detectors, along with proximity readers, and keypads. All components would be hard-wired together.

How is the system integrated?

An entry level integrated security management system is designed to work as a single system providing a combination of two or more security technologies, such as intruder protection, access control and CCTV. Chubb intruder systems are designed to comply with new European Standards and PD6662, and incorporate proximity wireless technology to allow the system to be set and unset. As an extension of this technology, they can provide door access control for up to 32 doors and up to 800 users to control access to protected areas, such as a storage area, a workshop or a cash office.

What happens if my requirements change in the future?

An entry level integrated security management system can manage security for sites requiring intruder protection with access control to cover between 2 and 32 doors and to accommodate between 30 and 1000 users. It also supports remote system management to manage multiple sites on a single PC, and incorporates internal diagnostics to ensure continuous operation of the system. Being a modular system, areas can be assigned to groups to help manage complex sites. While this type of solution would integrate access control with intruder protection, it cannot integrate with a CCTV system.
