Typical Applications - Mid Level Integrated Security Management (ISM)

Chubb's integrated security management system, Chubb AFx, combines all of your electronic security into a single system which can be managed from your laptop PC.

With Graphic User Interfaces (GUI) and interactive intuitive software, Chubb AFx offers a level control that is difficult to match.

Today integrated security management solutions are found in many high street retailers, schools and leisure facilities.

A mid level integrated security management system could be specified for a medium to large sized, stand-alone site or for multiple sites requiring all-round security incorporating intruder protection, access control and CCTV. By integrating all of these technologies into one system, it is possible to manage security from a single PC in the comfort of an office on-site, or from a laptop PC while on the move. Such a solution could be applied to a school, a leisure centre or a chain of retail outlets.

What products would be used?

A typical mid level integrated security management system would comprise of a fully integrated control panel linked to intruder protection, access control and CCTV control modules, together with their respective components, such as keypads for intruder protection, door controllers for access control and digital video recorder for CCTV integration. Each of these types of systems are described in more detail by clicking on the menu to the left.

How is the system integrated?

A mid level integrated security management system is designed to work as a single system, with a single control panel and can be managed through a single PC. Based on a single database, the integrated system combines the data, whether that be from intruder detectors, magnetic door locks, or CCTV camera images to provide accurate real-time event monitoring and reporting. Ultimately this helps to reduce costs, minimise disruption and improve security management. Each aspect of the system is designed to comply with the latest legislation and standards.

What happens if my requirements change in the future?

A mid level integrated security management system is designed for expansion and flexibility. Each aspect of the system is modular and scalable, so the capacity for securing doors, controlling access, and monitoring CCTV cameras can be tailored to suit specific site requirements. If required an intruder system can be installed initially, with the option of extending the system, to encompass access control and CCTV when, or if, this is required. As an extension, this is quick and easy to achieve and minimises disruption, reduces long term costs and of course offers greater control of your security.
