1. Fire Detection and Alarm Systems – changes to our current British Standards

1 hr, including questions, in-house seminar. This presentation is designed to update specifiers as to recent regulation changes to BS5839 part 1, to ensure safe specification of fire detection and alarm systems.

2. Design Principles of Fire Detection and Alarm Systems for Buildings

1 hr, including questions, in-house seminar. This presentation is designed to take specifiers through British Standard BS5839 Part 1, code of practice for system design, installation and servicing for fire detection and alarm systems for buildings to ensure safe and accurate specification.

3. Understanding Very Early Warning Smoke Detection Technologies

1 hr, including questions, in-house seminar on 2 main technologies, video smoke detection and high sensitivity smoke detection for very early warning detection. Seminar ideal for specifiers of fire detection equipment in unusual or sensitive environments.

4. Halon Replacement in Fire Fighting Systems – a look at the alternatives

1 hr, including questions, in-house seminar that discusses the issue surrounding the mandatory decommissioning dates of halons used in fixed and portable fire fighting equipment and a look at the alternative technologies available.

5. An Appreciation of Toxic and Combustible Gas Detection

1 hr, including questions, in-house seminar ideal for consultants that are involved in specifying a continuous gas detection system. This seminar looks at the terminology used in the gas detection field, properties of toxic and combustible gases, commonly encountered gas hazards and applications for gas monitoring systems.
