Sales Executives

JOB TITLE: SALES EXECUTIVE
DEPARTMENT: SALES
REPORTING TO: LOCAL BUSINESS MANAGER

Job Purpose:

  • To represent and market the company’s products and services within a defined geographic territory to both existing and new customers.
  • To work as a member of the Local Business Unit Sales Team to achieve the turnover targets set for the business.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • To represent the company’s interests and project an appropriate image to the customer by displaying a high degree of professionalism, competence and attention to customer needs.
  • Plan and organise the working day to achieve a productive daily call rate.
  • Provide verbal and written quotations to supply the company’s products and services within the pricing structures published by the company and to achieve its gross margin targets.
  • Complete manage and maintain all company documentation accurately and ensure that it is efficiently forwarded to the Customer Service team for processing.
  • Handle all sales and service enquiries within a defined geographic area passed from the company to maximise the sales opportunities.
  • To work within legislative guidelines for fire safety ensuring that all advice and recommendations given to customers comply with these guidelines.
  • Complete accurate daily records and report orders and quotations on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and maintain a business file of all opportunities.
  • Handle any customer complaints aim to achieve complete customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain good business working relations with both the sales and service teams and the customer.
  • Maintain all company issued equipment and vehicle to ensure they remain operational at all times.
  • To carry out all instructions as might be reasonably requested by the company’s management.

Skills required:

  • Previous sales experience (Ideally within service industry though this is not essential.)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and motivation
  • Ability to communicate with and react positively to customer needs
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Desire to be successful
