Chubb reaches new levels of safety

Chubb Electronic Security, a leading provider of security services, has launched a new ladder to ensure the health and safety of its employees working at height. Chubb Electronic Security is part of UTC Fire & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).

In line with the latest European Health and Safety legislation and the Working at Height Regulations 2005, the new equipment is a proven safety ladder developed by Bratts Ladders of Nottingham in consultation with engineers from Chubb Electronic Security.

Sophie Watson, Marketing Director, Chubb Electronic Security comments: “Chubb Electronic Security, by its very nature, puts health and safety at the top of the agenda. We looked at a range of different options and this one came out on top due to its bespoke and easy to use design.”

The ladder is lightweight, and can be easily transported by Chubb engineers on the roof racks of their vans. It is supplied as one piece of equipment with all safety features permanently attached, including wheels at the top of the unit for easy extension of the ladder; a levelling system for use on uneven surfaces; a ‘multistopper’ design to prevent slipping; and a ‘V’-shaped section in the centre of the wheel unit for using the ladder against a pole or in a corner, and a rope and cleat to tie it off, where possible.

Sophie Watson, Marketing Director, Chubb Electronic Security, concludes: “In addition to all the safety features, there is a record of inspection indicator on the ladder itself so we have the peace of mind that it not only complies with all required standards but will continue to do so.”
